A democrat by conviction, Di Tella actively fought against fascism in Italia. In addition, he held the position of Professor of Economy at the University of Buenos Aires and formed a collection of paintings that nowadays enriches the heritage of the National Museum of Fine Arts. Di Tella was a member of the Board of the Industrial Union, he represented Argentina at the International Labor Conference, he drafted bills for labor and social security legislation, wrote books and gave lectures on these subjects.
